Asbestos Air Clearance

Enviro‑Air delivers fast, certified environmental testing with a focus on asbestos surveys, air clearance, monitoring, and on‑site PCM analysis. Every project is supported with accurate sampling, immediate results, and clear, defensible reporting that helps contractors, homeowners, and property managers move forward safely and in full regulatory compliance.

Asbestos Air Clearance High volume pump

Asbestos Air Clearance

Air clearance verifies that asbestos fiber levels are safe after abatement or disturbance. Enviro‑Air conducts certified final clearance sampling to confirm containment performance and ensure the work area meets regulatory requirements for re‑entry. Clients receive clear, defensible documentation showing the space is safe for occupants and workers.

Asbestos Air Monitoring Low Volume Personal / Area pump

Asbestos Project  Air Monitoring

Air monitoring measures airborne fiber levels throughout an asbestos project to protect workers and prevent migration beyond the work zone. Enviro‑Air uses calibrated pumps to collect background, perimeter, and personal exposure samples, providing real‑time insight into site conditions and compliance with OSHA exposure standards.

Phase Contrast Microscopy

Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) analysis delivers rapid, on‑site fiber counts for immediate decision‑making. Enviro‑Air prepares and analyzes samples directly at the project location, eliminating delays from off‑site labs. This service supports exposure monitoring, containment verification, and final clearance with fast, reliable results.

What Air Monitoring Includes

• Daily air monitoring during active abatement

• Setup and calibration of air sampling pumps

• Strategic placement of cassettes inside and outside containment

• Documentation of flow rates, times, and environmental conditions

• On‑site PCM analysis for same‑day results

• Communication of results to contractors and property owners

What PCM Analysis Includes

• Direct on‑site fiber counting using Phase Contrast Microscopy

• Immediate determination of airborne fiber concentrations

• No waiting for off‑site laboratory turnaround

• Defensible results that meet NIOSH 7400 methodology

• Documentation suitable for clearance, worker exposure, and regulatory needs

With more than ten years of direct asbestos abatement experience, we understand the workflow, challenges, and timing pressures contractors face. This allows us to provide fast, accurate air monitoring and PCM analysis that keeps your project moving and ensures your containment meets clearance requirements the first time.

When Air Monitoring & PCM Are Required

• During asbestos abatement projects

• For negative air containment verification

• For daily worker exposure monitoring

• For final clearance after abatement

• When required by OSHA, EPA, or state regulations

• When immediate results are needed to keep a project moving

Our Air Monitoring & PCM Process (Step‑By‑Ste

1. Project Review We review the scope of work and determine required sampling locations.

2. Pump Setup & Calibration Pumps are calibrated before and after sampling to ensure accuracy.

3. Air Sample Collection Cassettes are placed inside containment, outside containment, and in worker areas as needed.

4. On‑Site PCM Analysis Samples are Analyzed immediately using NIOSH 7400 methodology.

5. Results & Documentation You receive same‑day fiber counts, clearance determinations, and full documentation.

What You Receive

• Same‑day PCM fiber‑count results

• Documentation of pump calibration and sampling conditions

• Chain‑of‑custody records

• Clearance determination (pass/fail)

• Recommendations if additional cleaning or sampling is needed

Service Area (WV + Ohio)

Enviro‑Air provides asbestos air monitoring and PCM analysis throughout North‑Central West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, with rapid response available within a two‑hour radius of Wallace, WV. Extended travel may be available upon request.

Tentative Scheduling

Because abatement timelines can change quickly, all air monitoring and PCM analysis appointments are considered tentative until containment is confirmed ready. We coordinate closely with contractors to adjust arrival times as needed and keep your project moving without delays.
